Thanksgiving

In the US (especially in North America) this annual national holiday is marked by religious observances and a traditional meal. The holiday commemorates a harvest festival celebrated by the Pilgrim Fathers in 1621, and is held in the US on the fourth Thursday in November.

For us, it's more known for their thanksgiving dinner.

As I never eaten turkey before and as a big US-Fan, I wanted to try it out. I searched in the internet and I've found a Thanksgiving dinner at the Zürich Marriott Hotel. Which hotel isn't more american than a Marriott, right?

The offer was the following:

28th November, 6 - 11pm

CHF 89 per person

incl. welcome drink, non-alcoholic beverages, coffee & tea

Zürich Marriott Hotel

We arrived quiet early, which we personally prefer as there is now crowd at the buffet, no rush at all. They do have 4 hotspots of their buffet. First you get a big choice of appetizers, then you'll be able to choose from a variety of hot side dishes and of course THE TURKEY. Last but not least, a bit outside of the restaurant area, you'll be spoiled with some typical american desserts.

But let's start at the beginning, the appetizers:

Everything was so tasteful and delicious! We've even went twice to get a piece from everything! After a short break, the main dish was awaiting us :-):

The turkey was really juicy and tasty!

Almost full of all the delicacies there was of course some space left for the dessert. Comon' what's a feast without sweets, right?

...and yes, we where rolling home, haha. It was a blast and we've enjoyed every second!
